MORPHOLOGY OF THE IMPLANT

Stark-D implants are cylindrical, self-tapping and have a transmucosal conformation.They require only one surgical phase for their placement. The choice of this implant presents several identifiable benefits:

  • One surgical phase, because it’s not necessary to reintervene on the soft tissues to uncover the implant
  • Reduced gingival trauma
  • Better preservation of keratinised gingiva with consequent less bone resorption at the gingival crest.

The system requires a very precise instrumentation, allowing the insertion of a fixture in the mouth in the least traumatic and most accurate way possible, and conferring maximum primary stability.
   
Stark-D implants are produced in Ti-grade 4 in accordance with all ASTMF67 standards. This titanium c.p. has properties which include a very elevated biological compatibility and a significant mechanical resistance, good stretch, low specific weight, relatively low elasticity similar to bone, and very high resistance to corrosion. Titanium, is the most suitable material to support chewing loads and to guarantee all the necessary chemical reactions which promote the process of osseointegration.
